A photo exhibition dedicated to the Meshchera National Park opens in the Oksky Reserve
In the Visitor Center of the Oksky Reserve there is a personal exhibition of a member of the Russian Geographical Society Mikhail Kornev “Journey through the fabulous places of Meshchera” (6+).
The exposition, which takes place as part of the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia, was dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the writer Konstantin Paustovsky.
The exhibition is a joint project of Mikhail Kornev and the Ryazan Museum of Travelers. The photographer presented about twenty works on it, in which he depicted the beauty of the Meshchera National Park.
Mikhail Kornev is from the village of Tuma. The neighborhood of which Paustovsky immortalized in the story “Meshcherskaya Side” and the story “Cordon 273”. As a child, the author fell in love with the reserved forest region, which he reflects in his work.
As the photographer himself says, his creative motto is contained in the poetic phrase of Sergei Yesenin:
“No matter how beautiful Shiraz is, it is no better than the expanses of Ryazan“.
