Another 18 aircraft will be taken from Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation on January 15 equipment and military

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that on January 15, the transfer of equipment and peacekeepers from Kazakhstan to Russia will continue.

The military department said that 15 Il-76 aircraft and three An-124 aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces will be involved. They will arrive at airfields in the Ivanovo and Moscow regions.

The personnel and equipment of the Airborne Forces guarded the main strategic facilities in the Alma-Ata region.

Recall mass protests, which then turned into riots, began in Kazakhstan in the early days of 2022 due to rising prices for liquefied gas. Militants who arrived from abroad joined the protesters, looting and attacks on strategically important objects began.

The authorities declared a state of emergency and launched a counter-terrorist operation. The President of the Republic, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, turned to the CSTO for help. After that, collective peacekeeping forces were sent to Kazakhstan to normalize the situation in the country.
