Tourist cashback for a tour to the Far East can double – from 20 to 40 thousand rubles. Rosturizm and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East are working on such an opportunity. Alexei Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, said in an interview with RG: “Together with Rosturizm, we are working on increasing the cashback for tourist vouchers in the Far East to 40 thousand rubles.”

The tourist cashback program was launched in August 2020. It involves the payment of 20% of the cost of tours in Russia or hotel reservations, maximum 20 thousand rubles.

According to the minister, the pandemic spurred domestic tourism in the Far Eastern Federal District – it grew by 48% compared to the previous year. “We expect that by the end of 2021, more than 2.3 million people will visit the Far East,” he says. “I think that within 3-5 years the supply of tourist services in the Far East will significantly increase. supply grows in parallel. He also said that in February 2022 the second charter program to Sakhalin will start – tours from 42 thousand rubles with a full package for 7 nights and the fourth charter program from Moscow to Buryatia – from 36 thousand rubles with a package for 7 nights.
