Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation called a possible de-escalation of the situation around Ukraine

De-escalation of the situation around Ukraine is possible. The main condition for this is the implementation of the Minsk agreements by Kiev. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko following the results of meetings of the Russia-NATO Council

“De-escalation is possible. First of all, it is necessary to force the authorities in Kiev to full and unconditional implementation of the Minsk agreements, which are part of international law. If the Minsk agreements are implemented, there will be no threat to either the security of Ukraine or its territorial integrity,” the diplomat said.

According to Grushko, much in this matter depends on the NATO countries. “They must stop all military assistance to Ukraine, stop supplying weapons there, recall inspectors, instructors, officers and soldiers, which is actually provided for by the relevant provisions of the Minsk agreements,” the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister said.

As Grushko emphasized, this is the only way to achieve results.
