Health: Science and technology:

The risk of diabetes can be influenced by the size of the liver and pancreas, as well as the increase in their adipose tissue. This is stated in a study by British scientists from Brunel University, published in Diabetes Care

A 5 percent increase in body fat was associated with a 27 percent risk of diabetes, the researchers said. In addition, people with a genetically determined small volume of the pancreas are also at risk, the study said.

Formerly specialists from the American Academy of Dermatology warnedthat diabetes mellitus has a detrimental effect on each of the human organs, including the skin.
