Place the GPX file in your “ATAK” folder, which can be found under: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ATAK_Folder. Rename your new file “GPX”. This will give you a starting point for creating your new data packet!
3. How to copy original data packet to a new one
To copy an original data packet, you must first open it.
Once the file has been opened, copy all files to a new folder and rename the new folder. You can use Notepad++ or any other text editor that you like best for this purpose.
Next, open your MANIFEST file with notepad++ or another text editor of your choice (you may need to choose “all files” instead of just one if there are multiple files). Delete all lines that refer to atakdata/addendum-1/modifiying_addendum_*.xml
4. How to unzip new data packet and open MANIFEST file with notepad
Now that you have the new data packet, open it in Notepad.
- The first thing to do is delete all lines that refer to atakdata/addendum-1/modifiying_addendum_*.xml and replace them with this line:
; Atak Data Packet <![CDATA]

6. insert the following lines before /manifest tag (store address of GPX file):
