According to bourgas.ru, today, 38 illegal migrants were rescued in the Black Sea near Shabla, including 22 men, 8 women and 8 children, one of whom is a baby. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria.

This morning, a boat with migrants was intercepted in the Shabla area. The ship was stopped at about 6:25. A border police boat was sent to the scene. They managed to board the boat, where 38 people were found.

Most of them were men, but there were women and children in the group, including a baby.

The migrants introduced themselves as citizens of Syria and Afghanistan.

The boat was escorted by border guards to Kavarna. However, she ran out of fuel along the way and this ship had to be refueled on the high seas.

“Weather and excitement did not allow us to get people out of the ship, so we accompanied them to Kavarna,” said the head of the Border Police in Burgas, Commissioner Anton Mirkov.

Currently, the migrants are in Kavarna, their medical examinations are still ongoing.

According to preliminary information, their condition is good.

It should be noted that in 2014 this is the first case of detention of migrants in Bulgarian territorial waters.
