Comic book publisher Bubble plans to release comics based on the film “Brother” in August
The Russian comics publisher Bubble plans to release a comic book dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the premiere of the film “Brother” in August. Reports about it TASS.
The editor-in-chief of the publishing house Roman Kotkov spoke about plans to release a collection based on the cult film at the Balabanov Fest festival, which takes place in Nizhny Novgorod.
“We are planning a release by the end of August, we took more time to make the book interesting and versatile. These are very different stories from very different authors. By the end of August, we plan to release the print run,” Kotkov said. He added that the circulation of the comic book collection will be at least five to ten thousand copies.
Bubble Editor-in-Chief noted that the collection will feature many characters from the films “Brother” and “Brother-2”, which will receive backstories, or the existing stories of the characters will be continued by the authors.
In December 2021, the Russian singer Irina Saltykovawho performed one of the roles in the cult film Alexey Balabanov “Brother-2”, commented on the intention of the Bubble publishing house to release a comic book based on the movie “Brother”. She called the idea of making a comic book based on the film nonsense.
