The company signed a cooperation agreement with LizaAlert. It will help provide the detachment with equipment and equipment, as well as housing for volunteers during the search.
Vladimir Pravdivy, General Director of Avito:
“Our idea of cooperation was born from the unification of prevention efforts in the field of security. LizaAlert provides it in an offline environment, Avito teaches people safe behavior online. In the process of negotiating the creation of joint training programs, we realized that we have a lot of points to cross. Avito as a socially responsible business can connect volunteers with Avito users who want to make their personal contribution to such an important activity. So we agreed to create an individual project for the transfer and purchase of the necessary things and equipment on the platform, as well as assistance in the resettlement of volunteers at Avito Real Estate during the search and organization of the detachment’s events. There are many people around us who are ready to help their neighbors, but not all of them understand how to do it as efficiently and quickly as possible. Now this can be effectively done on Avito. A huge team from all our business areas is involved in the implementation of the project. I am grateful to everyone involved in this important cause.”
Initially, cooperation will be conducted in three directions. The first is joint preventive and educational activities to teach the principles of security in the offline and digital environment. The Avito team will take part in the events planned by the LizaAlert squad in Moscow and the regions, develop their own events with the involvement of Avito security specialists, external experts and users.
The second direction is the provision of housing for volunteers for free accommodation during searches throughout Russia at objects that are rented by the day through Avito Real Estate.
The third direction is connected with the technical support of the work of the detachment. In the near future, a special section will be launched on the Avito website with a list of equipment needed to save people. The platform offers two mechanics of helping LisaAlert: the user will be able to donate money to buy an item or transfer his own. Funds received will be cumulative. When the required amount is collected, the desired item will be purchased and transferred to the squad. If a person has inventory suitable for searching, and he wants to transfer it to LizaAlert, then it will be necessary to leave an application on the Avito website. After that, a representative of the detachment in his city will contact him and agree on the place and time of the transfer of the thing.
“The Avito platform gives us a real opportunity to provide us with the necessary resources – from ordinary flashlights and generators to choosing locations and attracting volunteers during searches, including in remote regions,” notes Grigory Sergeev, Chairman of the LizaAlert Volunteer Search and Rescue Team. “And the fact that the Avito team independently contacted us speaks of their sensitivity and high level of social responsibility. And most importantly, Avito is not only a caring business, but also a guide that will help attract millions of caring people to help search volunteering.”
In the future, it is possible to use various Avito services for recruiting employees and volunteers, attracting specialized specialists to help the detachment, and providing volunteers with transport.
