Russian Foreign Ministry urged tourists to choose Turkey, Serbia or Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for safe trips to the Balkan Peninsula. About it in an interview TASS said the director of the Fourth European Department of the diplomatic mission Yuri Pilipson.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that most of the Balkan countries are included Russian government on the unfriendly list. For this reason, the diplomat urged tourists to approach the choice of destination for recreation “soberly and demandingly.”
“We see no contraindications for visiting the countries of the region that are not included in the mentioned list – Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Of course, even here a certain amount of prudence does not hurt,” Pilipson called the Balkan destinations that are safe for Russians.
The Director of the Fourth European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also advised travelers before the trip “to take into account useful tips on the websites of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Department of the Situation and Crisis Center, the consular information portal, Rostourism”. In addition, Pilipson recommended downloading the Foreign Assistant mobile application of the diplomatic mission in advance and writing down the addresses and contact numbers of Russian foreign missions.
