By order of the Prime Minister of the Technical Government of Bulgaria, Gylyb Donev, an interdepartmental crisis headquarters was created in the country due to existing problems in the energy sector. His task will be to find solutions that will help “cope with chaos and devastation.”

“The task of the headquarters will be to find solutions that will ensure supply guarantees and predictability of gas prices, and mechanisms will also be proposed to control prices for fuel and electricity. The headquarters will work constantly, including on weekends,” said Gylyb Donev. . His words reports TASS on Wednesday, August 3rd.

The crisis headquarters will be headed by the Minister of Transport and Communications in the technical government of Bulgaria Hristo Aleksiev. He called the situation with gas supplies exceptionally serious. The volume of gas available in the country will not be enough to satisfy all needs in the heating season.

According to Aleksiev, the agreement on the seven liquefied natural gas tanks previously announced by Kiril Petkov’s outgoing government does not exist. Officially, they still have to negotiate.

The situation is complicated by the financial crisis in Bulgargaz. This has led to the fact that it is impossible to pay for already agreed volumes of gas. The vice premier indicated that the necessary steps would be taken to help with the refinancing of Bulgargaz. The crisis headquarters will present options for solving problems in the energy sector next week, Hristo Alexiev summed up.
