Director of the Russian Guard Zolotov visited the Kherson region

Director National Guard army General Victor Zolotov visited units of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation in the Kherson region. This was reported to by the official representative of the Russian Guard. Valery Gribakin.

The head of the department got acquainted with the situation in the region, checked the organization of service and combat activities, assessed the living conditions of employees and military personnel of the National Guard, talked with the personnel, paying special attention to providing the National Guard with modern weapons. Zolotov was also shown captured military equipment and weapons. Mostly everything seized during the special military operation is of foreign production.

Zolotov presented state awards to the Russian Guardsmen who distinguished themselves during a special military operation. Among the highest awards – the Order Alexander Nevsky, Order of Courage, Order “For Military Merit”, medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland”, medal “For Saving the Dead”. He also presented the epaulettes of Colonel General to the commander of the Southern District of the Russian Guard, Igor Turchenyuk.

From the first days of the start of the special military operation, employees and servicemen of the Russian Guard have been performing a wide range of service and combat tasks. In addition to direct participation in hostilities, the Russian Guards are establishing a peaceful life in the liberated territory. Every day they carry out activities to detect caches with weapons and ammunition, ensure the security of important infrastructure and transport communications, serve at checkpoints, inspect vehicles for the presence of weapons and explosives, maintain public order, identify and suppress the activities of sabotage groups.

In addition to combat missions, employees and servicemen of the Russian Guard provide assistance to the local population. In particular, as the director of the Russian Guard noted, they assist citizens in establishing a peaceful life, help with food and medicine, guard and escort convoys with humanitarian supplies, and ensure the protection of public order. “In the liberated settlements, we feel the support of the local population, which, of course, contributes to the fulfillment of tasks by employees and military personnel of the Russian Guard,” Zolotov emphasized.
