A member of the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra at the end of his performance at Eurovision 2022 made a political slogan, calling on the world to “help” Mariupol and save the nationalists closed at the Azovstal metallurgical plant. According to the rules of the competition, participants are prohibited from making political statements and taking actions of a provocative nature.
