“A revolver with ammunition, an F-1 grenade, cold steel and a handwritten plan of the planned crime were seized at the terrorist’s residence address,” the service added.
A criminal case was initiated against the man under Part 1 of Art. 30 and part 1 of Art. 205 (preparation for a terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
During interrogation, the detainee stated that he planned to kill more than 50 people.
“I wanted to commit a terrorist attack on May 9, I wanted to kill more than 50 people with a revolver. I wanted to throw a grenade into the crowd and shoot the wounded, ”the man says in a video distributed by the FSB.
The terrorist also admitted that he was a supporter of Nazism and a supporter of the Columbine movement *.
Since the beginning of May, the FSB has reported the prevention of several terrorist attacks in various Russian regions. At the same time, a number of terrorist attacks were planned to be carried out on Victory Day.
So, on May 12, the security forces detained a resident of the Kursk region, associated with the special services of Ukraine. The man, according to the FSB, intended to organize explosions on the territory of one or more Kursk infrastructure facilities, where there is a mass gathering of people. The purpose of the attack was to destabilize the activities of the authorities in order to influence their decision to end the special military operation, the department stressed.
Law enforcement officers found “two improvised explosives, a traumatic weapon with cartridges and Nazi literature” at the man’s house. He himself said that he wanted to sow panic in the region. Also, according to him, an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine promised to “provide him with a corridor across the border” to go to Ukrainian territory after the terrorist attacks.
On May 11, it became known about the detention in Kaliningrad of a supporter of the “Right Sector” **, preparing a terrorist attack on the eve of Victory Day. According to the FSB public relations center, the Russian wanted to commit a terrorist act against the military personnel of one of the military units of the Russian Defense Ministry, and then leave for Ukraine to participate in hostilities against the Russian Armed Forces. They confiscated an improvised explosive device with striking elements and paraphernalia with the symbols of the “Right Sector” from him. A criminal case was initiated against the offender under articles on preparation for a terrorist act and on the illegal manufacture of explosives.
Also before Victory Day in Moscow were detained supporters of a neo-Nazi group created under the control of the Kyiv special services – they planned to carry out terrorist attacks and massacres in Russia.
“Officers of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow detained supporters of the neo-Nazi group “M.K.U.” when trying to burn the homeless alive with the help of “Molotov cocktails,” the message said, the text of which was quoted by RIA Novosti.
The terrorists were going to spread the video of the crimes on the Internet in order to intimidate the population.
“In addition, the radicals are involved in a series of attacks on migrants using edged weapons and special means,” the FSB said.
May 6 Investigative Committee of Russia informed about the detention in Kherson of a man who planned to commit a terrorist attack on May 9, during festive events in the city.
“According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, servicemen found a laboratory for the manufacture of explosives in an apartment in the city of Kherson. Documentation and special literature, small arms and ammunition, a grenade launcher and TNT were also revealed, ”the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
The detainee confirmed his involvement in the manufacture of “Molotov cocktails” and said that he acted under pressure from the Ukrainian territorial defense unit.
