Greek Foreign Minister Dendias supported the entry of Finland and Sweden into NATO
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said that the country is in favor of the performance of Finland and Sweden in NATO. He announced this when he arrived at an informal dinner of the foreign ministers of the countries of the alliance in Berlin, reports RIA News.
Dendias commented on the possible accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO and said that this issue will be one of the main issues discussed during the dinner. He also supported the decision of these countries.
“I am looking forward to a very interesting dinner. The main “dish” will be Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and what is of great importance, I think, for all NATO member countries: the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO,” he stressed.
The Greek Foreign Minister added that the country has good relations with both Sweden and Finland.
“They are also members European Union. Consequently, the Greek side has a very clear position: we are ready to welcome Sweden and Finland into the NATO family. We believe they have a lot to offer,” he concluded.
