The head of Naryan-Mar, Oleg Belak, signed a decree on temporary switching on of heating from June 24.
– In early June, hot weather set in, it lasted more than five days, so it was decided to turn off the heating from June 8th. The centralized supply of thermal energy is traditionally stopped in all houses and institutions of the city in the summer. The beginning and end of the heating season is clearly regulated by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation. The centralized supply of thermal energy to the houses and institutions of the city ends when the average daily air temperature in the street is above +8 degrees for 5 days. But the northern weather is capricious and unpredictable, weather forecasters promise that cold nights (3-4 degrees Celsius) will last until early July, so it was decided to turn on the heating from June 24, – reported on site city administration.
