In Lithuania, unknown people painted a swastika sign on the monument to the dead Soviet wars
In the Siauliai region of Lithuania, unknown people again desecrated the monument to the fallen Soviet soldiers participating in the Great Patriotic War. This was announced by the police department of the country, reports RIA News.
“In the village of Bubiai in the Siauliai region, a swastika sign painted with paint on the monument to the dead Soviet soldiers was noticed at a military cemetery,” the ministry said in a statement.
They clarified that all the necessary materials were collected for the investigation in the situation.
May 11 in Lithuanian city of Skuodas unknown also defiled monuments to the Soviet wars. Then the attackers poured paint over the monument, located at the site of the military burial place of 1614 soldiers and officers who fell in the autumn of 1944 during the liberation of the republic.
Monuments to Soviet wars were desecrated in other countries in protest against the special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. Among them are Greece, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Germany.
