City Duma deputy sentenced to three years probation in Tula for employment fraud
The court sentenced Alexander Boronenko, deputy of the Tula City Duma, to three years in prison on probation. On Thursday, June 23, Lente.ru was informed by the press service of the regional administration Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
The man was found guilty under Article 159 (“Fraud committed on an especially large scale”) of the Criminal Code (CC) of the Russian Federation. He was put on probation for three years and fined 500,000 rubles. The court also seized the property of the accused and third parties in the amount of more than 630 thousand rubles.
According to the agency, in the period from October 2019 to December 2021, Boronenko helped with the employment of four people as his assistants, who, in fact, did not fulfill their duties, and the deputy himself received the salary for them. The damage to the budget of Tula amounted to more than 2.5 million rubles.
