Nutritionist Romanova said that dried goji berries are a product that is good for vision
According to her, regular consumption of a small portion of berries prevents the development of the main cause of vision loss in old age – macular degeneration.
The specialist spoke about the study, which involved 13 healthy volunteers aged 45 to 65 years. They consumed 28 grams of goji berries five times a week for 90 days. As a result, they have increased the density of protective pigments in the eyes – lutein and zecasanthin.
“Pigments block blue light and protect the deep layers of the retina from the penetration of harmful substances. These beneficial substances are found in the greatest amount in goji berries, ”explained Romanova.
The nutritionist advised adding berries to cereals, soups, yogurt or smoothies. They can also be used as spices for meat dishes or brew tea from them.
Former Russian nutritionist Irina Pisareva told, which is the most useful and safest chicken skewers. She recommended cooking the bird skinless and not over high heat. In addition, a good choice for barbecue is fish – for example, salmon or trout.
