The Union of Producers of Juices, Water and Drinks is asking the government to increase the maximum volume of containers for the sale of children’s drinks from 0.2 to 0.5 liters by the end of the year. The decision, according to them, will help to cope with the shortage of food packaging that arose after the start of the special operation in Ukraine.
How informs On June 24, Kommersant, citing participants in the discussion of the issue in the government apparatus, 80% of the packaging in which juice is produced for children under three years old was imported to Russia from abroad before the start of the special operation.
According to the sources of the publication, the measure needs to be made permanent in order to allow manufacturers to export more products, but this is only possible at the level of the Eurasian Economic Union. So far, companies are “in no hurry to rebuild production,” citing the temporary nature of future changes.
