Spanish citizens illegally hunted mountain goats in Kazakhstan

TALDYKORGAN. KAZINFORM – Poachers who hunted Siberian mountain goats in the territory of the state nature reserve in the Zhetysu region have been detained, Kazinform reports with reference to press service Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“On August 2, at about 19:30, during a raid by state inspectors of the Zhongar-Alatau National Park, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado car was stopped on the territory of the Tokta State Nature Reserve, the owner of the car is a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Together with him in the cabin were two citizens of Spain. When examining the car in the trunk, 2 heads of a Siberian mountain goat, a skin and meat weighing 60-62 kg, weapons belonging to two foreign citizens of the brand Mannlicher and Blazer were found,” the press service of the committee reported.

Material evidence was confiscated and transferred to the police department of the Alakol district of the Zhetysu region.
