Liz Truss said that Britain and Turkey are working together to export grain from Ukraine
Britain is in talks UN for the export of grain from Ukraine and is working on this task together with Turkey. About this at a press conference following a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said TASS.
“The United Kingdom and Turkey are cooperating closely, in particular on the issue of exporting grain from the territory of Ukraine (…). We discussed practical solutions on how to implement this in the Black Sea,” the minister said.
Truss stressed that the problem with food must be resolved within the next month, otherwise there will be a shortage of grain in the world market. According to her, for this it is necessary to ensure the protection of Ukrainian ports, as well as to organize the safe passage of ships in the Black Sea.

On June 15, it became known that Russia, Turkey and Ukraine created an open communication channel to solve the problem of grain export from Ukrainian ports for the international market. According to the grain transfer scheme, “the Ukrainians must clear the mines in the ports (…), and then the Turkish forces will ensure the safe movement of merchant ships.”
