The consequences of refusing Russian gas are revealed Russian news EN

Russian Ambassador to Germany Nechaev expressed hope for the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline

Ambassador of Russia to Germany Sergei Nechaev on the air of the Solovyov Live TV channel commented on the situation with the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. His words lead TASS.

Nechaev recalled that “many billions” had been invested in the Russian project, which were invested by both German and Italian companies. He expressed hope for the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. “The time will come to return to this project, at least I hope so,” he stressed.

The ambassador added that from a technical point of view, Nord Stream 2 has been completed. The pipes are not only laid, but also filled with process gas, which will allow the project to start supplying fuel to Germany. However, Europe supports the rejection of the Russian energy resource, which threatens with such a consequence as rising prices.

“On the other hand, there is a political order not to use gas from Russia in any way, on the contrary, to follow the path of reducing imports from Russia. Where it leads? I think that this will lead to an additional increase in prices for both fuel and basic products, including food,” Nechaev concluded.
