NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – The delay of flights on the route Almaty – Antalya and Antalya – Almaty was explained to the Civil Aviation Committee, Kazinform reports from link to the department’s press office.

“Flight KC915 on the route Almaty – Antalya dated August 3, 2022 was scheduled at 09:40 local time on a B-767 aircraft (registration number P4-KEA).

For technical reasons, the aircraft was replaced and the flight was delayed until 18:00 on August 3, 2022, Almaty time. The delay time will be 8 hours 20 minutes.

Flight KC916 on the Antalya-Almaty route on August 3, 2022 was also delayed from 13:40 to 21:40 Antalya time due to the late arrival of the aircraft,” the committee informed.

All passengers of a delayed flight are provided with the provision of services (mother and child room, soft drinks, food, hotel), in accordance with Article 86 of the Law on the use of the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aviation activities. In case of non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment by the airline of these requirements, passengers can apply from 9:00 to 18:00 to the transportation department of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC.

“The main priority of air transport is the safety of passenger transportation, and therefore, if dangerous conditions pose a threat to safety, the carrier must eliminate them, which, as a rule, leads to a flight delay,” the committee concluded.

Earlier it was reported that more than 9 million tenge will pay Air Astana fine for flight delay. On June 5, flight KS-7105 on the route Almaty – Shymkent of the Fly Arystan air carrier, which is part of the Air Astana group of companies, was delayed for 15 hours and 10 minutes.
