More than 296 thousand new patients with “unknown fever” were identified in the DPRK per day, writes RIA News with reference to the North Korean Central News Agency.
The patients had a high temperature. During the day, 15 people died. More than 820,000 have fallen ill over the entire time. Among them, 496,000 patients have recovered, and more than 324,000 are still being treated. The total number of deaths is 42 people, doctors reported.
The agency writes that at least one of the deceased was found to have a strain of the omicron coronavirus (BA.2, stealth omicron).
