Reducing the amount of salt in the diet is important to reduce the risk of developing hypertension. This was stated by the doctor of medical sciences, nutritionist Mariyat Mukhina. According to her, some people get used to salt as a taste stimulant. This behavior is typical for people suffering from hypertension. Meanwhile, excessive consumption of sodium chloride contributes to the development of this disease, Radio Sputnik reports August 3rd.

The nutritionist recommends that those who are accustomed to salty foods replace ordinary salt with a more healthy one – with a reduced content of sodium chloride. This, for example, Kostroma black salt. It also contains iodine, potassium, sulfur and iron.

In addition, you can use pink salt – it is practically a mineral preparation. It contains ions of magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, selenium, potassium. The main thing is that it was an original product, not a counterfeit.
