The Russian Geographical Society invites everyone to the speleological seminar “Tavrida Cave”. The event will take place on November 9 in the format of an online conference, application to participate, you can fill out until November 8, 2022.
The project, organized by the Youth Club on the basis of the Crimean branch of the Russian Geographical Society, is aimed at developing speleotourism among young people and strengthening scientific ties between regions, as well as improving interregional cooperation in the field of scientific research on caves. The seminar participants will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the discovery of the Taurida Cave, the experience of creating speleological tourist sites and the features of the Crimean karst, as well as learn about the ancient animals of Northern Eurasia.
During the seminar, it will be possible to ask questions to Gennady Samokhin, Deputy Director for Science of the Scientific Speleopaleontological Complex “Tavrida Cave”, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Natural Scientific Methods for Humanitarian Research of the Ural Federal University, Candidate of Biological Sciences Dmitry Gimranov, Chief Specialist of the Educational and Educational Center “Geological Museum named after N.I. Andrusov” Alexander Tishchenko and Anton Yushko, Chairman of the Commission for Eco-Efficient Tourism of the Leningrad Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society, leading specialist of the Karelian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
