Deputy Khinshtein: the process of resettlement to Russia for compatriots will be accelerated
As the deputy said, the round-the-clock center for receiving documents for participation in the state program for voluntary resettlement will begin to operate from next week.
“Here they will accept and process applications from people from the CIS, the Baltic states and neighboring countries, for whom Russia is their historical homeland,” he said with reference to the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Alexander Gorovoy.
Khinshtein noted that applications can be sent not only by e-mail, but also by fax. The review will take approximately 15 days. Upon approval, compatriots will be able to immediately enter Russia and begin the procedure for obtaining citizenship.
Earlier in April, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev proposed create a system of privileges for compatriots from Donbass. According to him, the benefits should relate to the issues of their voluntary planned resettlement. Medvedev stressed that Russia is already doing a lot to support the IDPs.
