US Senator Rand Paul says he doesn’t want Ukraine to succeed at the cost of US bankruptcy
Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky spoke on the radio station WMAL DC against the success of Ukraine at the cost of US bankruptcy. This is reported RIA News.
This is how the politician commented on his decision to block the approval the upper house of the US Congress bill on the allocation of assistance to Ukraine for nearly $40 billion.
“I am very sympathetic to Ukraine and wish it to succeed, but I do not want this to happen at the cost of bankruptcy of our country,” the US senator said.
Formerly Rand Paul declaredthat the United States is now unable to save Ukraine, while endangering its economy. The senator noted that Congress should carefully weigh the costs that the treasury will incur if the initiative is adopted.
