Peacekeepers perfectly fulfilled their tasks in Kazakhstan KXan 36 Daily News

The Minister of Defense of the republic Viktor Khrenin gave the highest appraisal to the actions of the Belarusian peacekeepers in Kazakhstan. The military leader stated this on Saturday, January 15, addressing the personnel of the peacekeeping contingent.

“The whole country was closely watching tragic events in Kazakhstanin which we have come to help the fraternal people restore constitutional order and contribute to the normalization of life in the country. Like all Belarusians, I fully share the joy of meeting our peacekeepers,” the lieutenant general said, stressing that Belarusians know the value of peace.

The task of the Belarusian contingent, the minister explained, was to strengthen the security and defense of important military and state facilities, as well as create conditions for stabilizing the situation in the zone of responsibility. “And you did an excellent job with this task. As part of the peacekeeping operation, you demonstrated high professionalism, courage, and adamant determination to unconditionally fulfill the tasks,” he stated, expressing gratitude to the servicemen for the high-quality performance of tasks and expressed his conviction that the Belarusian peacekeepers will continue to be an example in the performance of military duty.

The help of the allies, the head of the military department of the Republic of Belarus noted, made it possible for the Kazakhstanis to release and send additional forces to fight terrorists and take the situation in the country under control. “The CSTO has actually shown its potential, the ability to act quickly, decisively and effectively. It is thanks to you and our colleagues from partner countries in the organization that the whole world has once again become convinced that we do not leave our own people in trouble!” Khrenin summed up.

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Belarus, he awarded the servicemen who participated in the peacekeeping mission.
