The Ministry of Emergencies has suspended the rescue operation at the Listvyazhnaya mine in Kuzbass, said the interim head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Chupriyan. This is due to the deterioration of the gas-dynamic situation in the mine – the concentration of methane is growing there.
According to TASS, he also said that the location of three more rescuers who worked at the mine remains unknown.
“Of the 32 branches of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, one of the branches stopped communicating <...> This branch was located in the most remote part of the mine. Currently, three bodies of rescuers have been found, they are going upstairs. The fate of the three rescuers is not yet known, ”Chupriyan said.
There are chances of rescuing the missing, but small – as Chupriyan explained, the life of the breathing apparatus is four hours. How told in the administration of the mine, three rescuers whose bodies were found did not have enough oxygen. Thus, the death toll at the mine has increased to 14 people, 11 of them are miners.
Fate Remains Unknown 35 the remaining underground miners.
