According to the information and analytical center of the Central Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (part of the Roscosmos state corporation), on November 25 at 07:18 Moscow time, a fragment of the American Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched in 2019 is expected to converge with the International Space Station.
“The minimum distance between the station and this facility will be almost 5.5 km. The situation is under the control of the ISS Russian Segment Main Operations Group. The ISS-66 Expedition crew is working as usual, ”added Roscosmos.
November 15 this year, the ISS crew sent on ships due to the threat of a collision of the station with space debris flying by. The rapprochement with the threatening debris station was supposed to occur at 10:06 Moscow time.
