Seven model libraries to open in Ryazan region next year
In the Ryazan region, seven model libraries will be opened in 2023 under the national project “Culture”. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Culture.
The competition for the creation of model municipal libraries was held by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The winners included two central and five small libraries. These are the institutions of Ryazan, the villages of Shilovo, Pitelino, the village of Khirino (Ryazan region) and the village of Men’shie Mozhary (Sarevsky region).
New books will be delivered to the libraries, high-speed Internet will be installed. Establishments are adapted for people with disabilities. At the moment, 16 libraries have been modernized in the Ryazan region under this program.
In total, 218 municipal libraries will be updated in Russia. 1 billion 530 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the project.
