Several police officers were injured during protests outside the Bulgarian parliament

At least four police officers were injured during a protest against the introduction of “green certificates”, which took place in the capital of Bulgaria near the parliament building. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, an attempt to enter the building of the National Assembly was prevented, as a result of which four law enforcement officers were injured.

The police called on the protesters to express their opinions peacefully, without disturbing public order.

As previously reported by the agency TASS, several thousand people took part in the demonstration. The protesters opposed the “green certificates”, demanding a return to a normal lifestyle. According to them, the use of such passports turns vaccination from voluntary to compulsory.

It is noteworthy that the action was organized against the backdrop of a sharp increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus.
