Yesterday, September 23, at 10:42 a.m., a group of specialists from the flotilla of combat and auxiliary ships of the Navy was deployed to identify and destroy a metal object resembling a sea mine found on the coast near Cape Maslen Nos. After inspection on the spot, military experts classified the mine as an anchor mine of the “Yam” type, put in a combat position. The movement of the mine was considered potentially hazardous, and the decision was made to destroy it on the spot. The territory is cordoned off and guarded. A group led by Captain III rank Dimitar Stoyanov detonated the mine at 12:07 in strict compliance with safety regulations.
Yesterday, servicemen of the 78th security battalion of the Ground Forces destroyed a heavily rusted 85-mm high-explosive fragmentation projectile without a detonator at the Slivnitsa training ground. Ammunition was found during earthworks in the area of Elin Pelin station. The servicemen acted under the leadership of Lieutenant Vladislav Stavrev.
