A major fire broke out in the Polygon nightclub in Kostroma on the night of Saturday, November 5th.
The roof collapsed on an area of 3.5 thousand square meters.

250 people were evacuated from the building.
Open burning has been eliminated, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kostroma Region said.

The interlocutors of the agency indicated that during the analysis of the rubble, the bodies of two people were found.
According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region, 15 people were taken out of the building, located near the nightclub, due to heavy smoke.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the fire could have occurred due to the fact that one of the visitors fired a shot from a hunting rocket launcher.
On the fact of a fire in the Polygon nightclub, a criminal case was initiated under the article “Causing death by negligence to two or more persons.”
