The condition of a 90-year-old pensioner from the Leningrad region, who tried to independently carry out the operation on herself, is stable, told RBC in the Vyborg interdistrict hospital, where the woman was admitted.
“The pensioner was admitted to our hospital, she is in a stable condition,” the head physician said in the waiting room.
That a woman who survived the blockade of Leningrad independently spent an operation, the head of the hospice at home charitable institution Yekaterina Ovsyannikova wrote on Facebook.
According to her, against the background of oncology, the pensioner developed a complication – ascites. Because of him, it was difficult for a woman to walk, lie down and even breathe. To alleviate her condition, the blockade woman decided to carry out an operation – to make incisions with a thin knife along the anterior abdominal wall in order to remove fluid.
