The Ministry of Transport assessed the risk of a new logistic crisis in the Far East

In 2022, a repetition of the logistics crisis in ports in the Far East is out of the question, since cargo delivery planning has been introduced. Deputy Minister of Transport Alexander Poshivay told about this in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

“This will not happen. Residents of the Far Eastern regions, and other regions of the country will receive goods and cargo on time,” the official said.

As the Deputy Minister explained, in December 2021, planning was introduced for each port of a certain amount of cargo at the request of entities. By the 20th of each month, subjects provide information on the amount of cargo they want to receive in the next month. This timetable is coordinated with shipping companies and ports.

At the same time, priority cargoes are highlighted. These are socially significant cargo, cargo for national projects and large investment projects. Upon arrival, they are immediately sent to the ports of destination.
