The Witch King, the game’s next DLC

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen It is getting closer and closer, and Bungie does not stop launching new advances seeking to increase the hype for this new expansion, which promises to be the largest launched to date.

The Witch Queen expansion will arrive on February 22, 2022 and will continue after the current season, whose history so far leads us to face for the first time against Savathün, the Witch Queen of the Hive. To do this, we must embark on a journey (apparently without return) to the Throne World where countless dangers await us, as we can see in the following trailer:

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen – Savathûn’s Throne World

The story will take us to explore the Throne World of The Witch Queen

Apparently, the story will focus on defeating this formidable foe and his new legion of Light-powered Minions, who have been stolen in some way by the malicious witch.

New allies will join the already known repertoire of NPCs with whom we must collaborate to embark on this dangerous task. Rumors point to the return of several of the original voice actors who gave life to certain Destiny 1 characters and many others already known in the franchise.

During the trailer we also see a few more details about the enemies to defeat: Minions of the hive empowered by the Light. This is the first time that the Guardians’ weapons and powers have been turned against them so far, so it will be interesting to see how challenging the game is.

Bungie has shown, since its separation from Activision Blizzard 3 years ago, you know what you are doing. The game has only gained player count, and every decision the development team has made to date has only improved the quality of life for players within the game. Hopefully they continue like this.

The Witch Queen expansion can now be pre-ordered on different platforms. On steam, its base edition starts at $ 1,599, which ends up being approximately $ 2,640 after taxes are added.

And what do you think? Will The Witch Queen be the best Destiny 2 expansion ever?
