Ukraine was banned from importing children’s books from Russia: Ukraine: Former USSR:

It was forbidden to import children’s books from Russia to Ukraine “symbols of the aggressor state” stated at the press service of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of the country.

The ban applies to three books of the Publishing House “Prof-press”: “Poems about cars for kids”, “Transport” and “Tests for kids”, designed for an audience of two to three years. The committee explained that this decision was made because of the illustrations that use the symbols of the Russian Federation, its power and military structures and the “communist regime”.

Previously reportedthat newspapers, magazines and collections of crosswords in Ukraine will cease to be published in Russian. The corresponding norm is provided for by the law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as a state language”, language quotas will take effect from January 16. The ban will affect the nationwide print media.
