A strategic session for teachers of additional education was held in the NAO

The event was organized by the All-Russian Center for the Development of Artistic Creativity and Humanitarian Technologies (VTsKhT) under the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation

From November 9 to 10, a strategic session for teachers of additional education was held in the Nenets Autonomous District – “New educational solutions, practices and technologies for implementing programs for additional education for children.”

– The field of additional education is unique, it is mobile and interactive. This is an area that quickly responds to the interests of children, families, society, our state, to the conditions of the modern world. I hope that this event will be a small breakthrough for you. I wish you a good job, as well as gain new and interesting knowledge, – Anton Pustovalov, head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, admonished the participants of the session.

“Every speaker is a sun”

The best experts of the country from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol came to train the teachers of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Among them, Larisa Lvova, Deputy Director for Scientific and Methodological Work of the All-Russian Center for the Development of Artistic Creativity and Humanitarian Technologies, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, an accredited expert of Rosobrnadzor, a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia.

– Each speaker who will work in their groups is the sun, to which you can kiss like this and recharge until the last moment, while we are with you. From us you can take everything new, everything old, perhaps for you – it is not known who is ahead. The fact that today the best experts of the country in their fields landed in Naryan-Mar at the moment is absolutely certain. You must definitely grab your hands and get something so that your children receive not only such a new school, those programs and the efforts that you invest, but also that new knowledge, that impulse and that motivation that any face-to-face contact and acquaintance,” Larisa Lvova greeted the participants of the meeting.

She told the session participants about the vectors of the “Concept for the development of additional education for children until 2030”: this is a whole range of activities aimed at increasing the availability of additional education for children.

Larisa Lvova became a mentor for the listeners of the session in the direction of “Methodology of additional education” for two days. The expert shared her knowledge on how to update and create new programs of additional education.

In the first place – social gum

Dmitry Zhadaev, head of the department of the project office of the federal operator VTsKhT, was also an invited guest. He also became a mentor in the “Methodology of additional education” direction and spoke about the intermediate results of the implementation of the Target Model in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Thus, according to statistics, most of the children of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug choose additional education in the social and humanitarian profile. In second place is physical culture and sports orientation, in third place is art.

– We take all the presented and most demanded programs from the “Navigators of additional education” and the data that is filled in by your organizations. We make up general statistics from this. The tourism and local history orientation is far behind other programs – 4%. But this is not so little, there are regions where only 2% of children are covered by this profile, – Dmitry Zhadaev noted.

Let’s go hiking

How to increase the coverage of children with additional education in tourism and local history, the invited expert Elena Tsymbal, head of the department of tourism and local history activities of the Federal Center for Additional Education and Organization of Recreation and Improvement of Children, knows.

She told district teachers about the programs and forms of organizing tourism and local history activities:

– There are guys in the Sakhalin region who, against the backdrop of ecological, tourist approaches, make a lot of board games. They transform it into such a format. Now we are collecting the best practices at the federal level in order to pass them on to the regions, – said Elena Tsymbal.

Elena also shared her personal experience: she had previously worked in the Primorsky Territory, creating tourist events there for girls and boys of school age.

school theater

The Ministry of Education of Russia recommends the creation of school theaters in educational institutions. Marina Gavrilova, deputy director for educational work at secondary school No. 12 in the city of Zhukovsky, came to teach NAO teachers the difficult but interesting theatrical art.

Marina Gavrilova is an assistant director of the exemplary team of the Moscow Region of the Shest Theater. This theater has a full set of medals of the All-Russian Delphic Games: gold, silver and two bronze.

Everything is done by the children themselves. This is how we teach. Do you want a beautiful design? Forward! Your imagination, and we will help as much as we can. I will share advice – do not make voluminous decorations. There is simply nowhere to store them if there is no special room. We have them hanging on the walls. First of all, we wanted everything to be grandiose. We did a production based on the story of O. Henry, there was a wheel of Fortune and now it is also hanging on the wall, – shared Marina Gavrilova.

The speaker also told the audience about the stages of creating a school theater, developing a program and recruiting a children’s team. She shared her experience on how to organize classes and trainings, choose dramaturgy for staging work, what the stage should be like and the necessary equipment, props and costumes.

On the second day, the participants of the session were treated to master classes in acting, stage speech and movement.

DIY museum

Representatives of the Petrovsky Aquatoria Model Museum also arrived in the Nenets Okrug. This is a unique private museum in St. Petersburg, which presents a historical model of the city on the Neva of the 18th century with a real body of water.

Aleksey Struk, General Director, and Olga Maslennikova, Development Director of Scale Plus LLC, Petrovsky Aquatoria Model Museum, became mentors for students in the School Museums, Art Modeling direction.

Today, Alexei and Olga’s achievements are used not only in St. Petersburg schools. In the system of additional education in the Leningrad Region, schoolchildren are already creating models of their small towns, towns and villages.

The speakers held master classes on artistic layout, shared how to create a model of a museum space at school: technology, experience and practice.

Quantorium unites

Maksim Vinogradov told the teachers of the Quantorium NAO technopark and school “Points of Growth” about how to captivate children in the classroom, how to help each child find and develop their strengths, how to properly organize events and much more.

The speaker arrived in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug from Sevastopol, where he runs a station for young technicians. He told about his successfully implemented projects, mistakes, team building.

– One of the postulates that we lay down is project activity. In the system of additional education, children do not always need well-read lectures. The child comes with a desire to do something, and the mentor gives tips: it can be implemented like this, this is how, and the child specifically masters the skills and knowledge that he needs. The project motivates the child to move somewhere. In practice, this does not always work: children do not want to do projects. But okay, children – mentors also do not want to. And how to make everything work? We have been thinking about this for four years, – said Maxim Vinogradov.

The head of the Sevastopol Station for Young Technicians spoke about how to motivate children to develop using an example: the children were able to create a virtual museum of the Kalinin Machine-Building Plant. Adults only threw a problem and offered to find an option how to solve it.

The plant named after Kalinin in Yekaterinburg is secret, it’s not even easy to get into the museum here. And I want to take a look. A virtual double was invented by young talents from Sevastopol, Novouralsk, Pervouralsk and Mozdok as part of a 3D modeling hackathon.

The kids haven’t slept all week. The guys from different cities were able to become a single team, find the strengths of each and realize what was beyond the power of adults. The mentor and the customer threw a problem – the plant is secret, but it is necessary to show what is inside. Children themselves began to offer ideas, their eyes burned. It was a real project. The digital version appeared on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the plant, – said Maxim Vinogradov.

After that, the mentor threw a “problem” to the students: the district teachers had to unite in teams and think over activities that would be of interest to schoolchildren. It was important to think over the topics, invited partners, ways to motivate children. After that, everyone defended and discussed their projects. The next step is to implement them.

For managers

A separate block of the session was the training of leaders, their deputies and methodologists of educational institutions. For them, Dmitry Kovalev, director of the Academy of Digital Technologies in St. Petersburg, became a mentor.

He told the audience about the digitalization of managerial functions in additional education, work with personnel, organization of the educational process, participation in WorldSkills and Abilympics events. The expert also shared with the audience the managerial skills of the director of an additional education institution.

At the end of the session, teachers implementing additional education programs in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug were awarded a certificate of advanced training. The training took place within the framework of the federal project “Success of every child” of the national project “Education”.
