NAO residents can send parcels to mobilized

Anyone who wants to help can bring essential items to the collection point – the Regional Center for Youth Policy and Military Patriotic Education at the address: Tyko Vylki Street, 2.

– We sent the second batch of targeted and general parcels. For the guys who are now in the Nenets company, a cargo was also formed, which has already been delivered to Moscow. Transport will soon be organized to deliver all the collected things, – said Vladimir Abramov, director of the Regional Center for Youth Policy and Military Patriotic Education of Youth. – Now we have also sent targeted parcels to a group of mobilized, which were sent on October 10th. The cargo is already in St. Petersburg,” he said.

Employees of the #MYVMESTE regional headquarters noted that when sending things there is a restriction on the contents of the parcels. The humanitarian aid collection point does not accept pressurized cylinders, lighters, or flammable items.

— We use the services of air carriers. Therefore, we would not want the airline to return the entire cargo to us because of one can,” Vladimir Abramov said. “We are in close contact with the guys and their relatives, so we are among the first to find out what is needed and try to process their applications as quickly as possible,” he added.

Address and general parcels for dispatch to the mobilized are accepted weekly from Monday to Thursday. After the cargo is formed, it is sent to its destination next weekend.

– Close people of the mobilized bring targeted parcels to the central collection point for humanitarian aid. Volunteers of the regional headquarters, together with relatives, check the contents of the parcels, then pack things into boxes. Then we form the cargo and send it to the place of demand,” said Maria Bashirova, head of the Regional Volunteering Center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. – Usually warm clothes are brought in personal parcels, news from relatives – letters and drawings.
