Rogozin compared Musk with von Braun

The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, argued with the head of SpaceX, Elon Musk, about what is included in the concept of “Nazism”, emphasizing that he has no right to talk about this topic at all. In an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel, Rogozin also said that it was too early to talk about the previously planned cross flights to the ISS.

“Musk was unable to maintain a neutral position. He is the same as von Braun. He is said to be of German descent. Both work in America, both in space and both in military programs. Therefore, Mr. Musk has no moral right at all to talk about the topic of Nazism and reproach someone that someone knows this definition worse. I am the son of a front-line soldier, my family lost many relatives and friends in that war, and Musk, who supplies the Nazis with radio stations and consumer equipment, says that I do not understand the word “Nazism” correctly. We don’t need this Musk, ”Rogozin said when asked by a journalist to comment on Musk’s statement that the head of Roscosmos allegedly does not understand such a thing as Nazism.

Wernher von Braun is a German, and since 1955 an American designer of rocket and space technology, the creator of the first ballistic missiles. In the United States, he is considered the father of the American space program.

With regard to cross-flights to the International Space Station (ISS), which were discussed last year, Rogozin said that it is still premature to talk about them, since the situation has changed dramatically in recent months. At the same time, he stressed that this issue has not only political, but also technical overtones. He recalled the failure of the sewer system that occurred on the SpaceX ship, and the head of Roscosmos called the Boeing ship “generally emergency”, emphasizing that Russian cosmonauts would definitely not fly anywhere on it.

In addition, Rogozin said that by the autumn the state corporation plans to enter a single-turn flight pattern. If this scheme can be worked out, then the journey to the ISS will take less than three hours, and the Soyuz MS spacecraft will receive “enormous additional advantages” over US manned spacecraft.

Formerly “Expert” wrotethat Elon Musk hinted at his “death under mysterious circumstances” after Dmitry Rogozin accused him of “involvement in the supply of fascist forces in Ukraine with military communications.”
