On October 27, the Congress of Participants of the All-Russian Festival of School Museums “Cultural Route” opened at the Victory Museum. The festival brought together more than 300 activists. These are the winning teams of the All-Russian competition of museums of educational organizations “Cultural Route”, partners of the program “School Museum of Victory”, teachers, experts of the museum community. They represent more than 50 regions of Russia.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a welcoming telegram to the participants of the festival.
– It is gratifying that the patriotic, educational program “School Museum of Victory” has received broad support from educational institutions in many regions of Russia, and has united a large number of participants around its noble goals. Those who are proud of the history of our country, who sincerely believe that every Russian school must have a museum that carefully preserves the memory of the past war and its heroes, tells about fellow countrymen, their military and labor achievements, about the life of their native land, telegram, which during the grand opening was read to the audience by the director of the Museum of Victory, Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Alexander Shkolnik.
Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova also sent wishes for fruitful work.
– I am sure that the Congress of the All-Russian Festival of School Museums will be held at a decent level, will allow participants to learn more about the work of their colleagues, give the children the opportunity to demonstrate their bright ideas, and make a personal contribution to the development of their region. I wish you success and all the best,” Olga Lyubimova said in a video message.
Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Chairman of the Russian Historical Society Sergey Naryshkin, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society Vladimir Medinsky, State Duma Deputy Elena Tsunaeva, Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Alexei Shaposhnikov and others also addressed the museum guests with congratulations.
In addition, during the grand opening ceremony, an interactive map was launched, which included all the projects of the participants in the Cultural Route competition – about 500 video tours of school museums, corners of military glory, memorable places in cities and villages. Now everyone can get acquainted with the map on the main page of the website of the Museum of Victory.
For two days, the Victory Museum will have educational platforms where participants will get acquainted with the best museum practices, present the results of their museums and exchange experience. Under the guidance of mentors, schoolchildren will develop and present new historical excursion routes and projects to develop their expositions.
