It is noted that in recent years, doctors have performed cataract surgery on 85-year-old Francis and cured his intestines. But he still has pain in his knee. Specialists carry out appropriate therapy, apparently without much success. The pontiff is forced to move around in a wheelchair.

Francis said that he would like to visit Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Sudan and Congo. But he realizes that he will not be able to “go at the same pace as before” due to health problems.

He stressed that the trip to Canada “was kind of a test.” According to Francis, he should not have traveled in a wheelchair.

He noted that he is not thinking about retirement yet.

“The door is open. This is one of the normal ones. But until today, I have not knocked on that door,” explained the head of the Roman Catholic Church.
