The Swedish goalkeeper of CSKA Moscow Adam Reideborn announced his readiness to sacrifice a place in the national team for the sake of playing in the Continental Hockey League (KHL). His words are quoted in site organizations.

The hockey player said that he sees no difficulty in spending another season in Russia: “This is not a problem. Maybe I will not play for the national team because of this, but we have to wait. I’m ready for the new season! I have a contract year,” he added. Reideborn stressed that he wants to try to win another Gagarin Cup.

The goalkeeper signed a contract with the army team in July 2021. Together with the team, he became the owner of the Gagarin Cup.

In early May, the Swedish Hockey Association announced on the ban to play for the national team hockey players from the KHL. The organization noted that the decision concerns athletes who will continue to play in the clubs of the Russian league next season.
