Truss called on China to de-escalate the conflict with Taiwan

Foreign Minister and candidate for the post of British Prime Minister Liz Truss called on China to de-escalate relations with Taiwan. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Truss’ appeal was broadcast on the Sky News channel.

“I do not support China’s provocative language in this situation… And I call on China to de-escalate,” she said.

Recallthat earlier Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi visited the capital of Taiwan, despite extreme discontent and threats to use “tough measures” from the Chinese authorities. More than 300,000 people watched the plane that Pelosi allegedly flew on online.
