The Arktika Palace of Culture hosted the traditional concert “We are united in heart and soul”, timed to coincide with the National Unity Day. It was visited by more than 650 residents and guests of the city.
More than 70 nationalities live on the territory of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
Every nation has unique cultural characteristics. We speak different languages, but together we form a single multinational people of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, – reminded the host of the concert Ekaterina Kozhevnikova from the stage.
Historically, on November 4, two holidays merged into one: state and church. On this day, Orthodox Russia celebrates one of the most important church holidays of the year – the Day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. Both holidays, the Day of National Unity and the Day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, were established in honor of one important event in Russian history – the liberation of Moscow from the Polish invaders in 1612.
– Today’s holiday is significant both for the country and for the church. National Unity Day is more important than ever in today’s difficult situation. Now everyone should strive to do their duty. It is important to remember that unity is achieved with great difficulty, and it needs ideology, that is, faith, – said the dean of the central district of the Naryan-Mar diocese, Artemy Derisemlya.
The folk choir of Russian song Vyacheslav and Maya Smirnov “Spring Rus'” presented their creative performances. Nenets ensemble “Khayar”, groups “Travushka”, “Singing North”, “Cloudberry”, “Improviz”, “Liberty”, “Yugyd Shondi”, “Souvenir”, Current Process. They were accompanied by the concert ensemble of the Arktika Palace of Culture. Natalya Diks, Tamara Vyucheyskaya, Tofig Hamidov and Vasily Popov also performed solo.
